Challenge:

Design a heavy-duty trunk organizer for Carhartt

Process / Role:

• Conducted & presented market research
• Created & presented sketches & concepts for internal approval
• Designed Organizer
• Created presentations for internal and brand approval
• Created tech packs; tech & color specifications, bill of materials, etc
• Collaborated with product developer & assisted with sample reviews

Partway through the development process the duty for this product type was raised to almost 50%. Since Carhartt materials are already expensive, this raised the cost of the original design too high. 
So we pivoted and I designed a simpler product that had the same carrying capacity as the original but with less features.
